Immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony, one of the most exciting events of the numismatic year took place: the unveiling of the Saint-Gaudens Ultra-High Relief display at the U.S. Mint booth. Calling it a "booth" is a bit of a misnomer. It was more like a whole corner of the vast convention hall floor, all devoted to U.S. Mint things. In the photo here, we see U.S. Mint Director Ed Moy as he unveils the first of the four display cases that were part of the Ultra-High Relief exhibit. The case contains a big pile of gold bars.
