Here's a little better look at the gold bars, with the Ultra-High Relief (UHR) Saint-Gaudens design in the background. I thought this photo angle was particularly appropriate because these gold bars will actually become UHR Double Eagles soon! The six bars in the display were borrowed from the gold bullion stock at the West Point Mint (what the government insists on calling the "West Point Bullion Depository.") Each solid gold bar weighs 400 ounces, or about 27 pounds. Let's take an even closer look (next photo...)
