This gorgeous example of the 1895 Morgan Silver Dollar has the perfect combination of mirror surfaces and milky-lustrous cameo devices, accented by a slight hint of golden hue where the toning is just taking hold. This PCGS Graded PR-63 Cameo specimen was one of three 1895 Morgans which were sold at auction on August 14, 2006. This coin brought the highest price of the three, selling for $48,875 (including buyer's premium.)
Looking over these three specimens, which one do you think should have sold for the most?
