The 2008 Statehood Quarters

The State Quarters for 2008 are Shown in Artist's Renderings

From Susan Headley, About.com

The final year of the 50 State Quarters program is 2008. Unless Congress extends the program by mandating the issuance of coins to honor U.S. possessions and territories, and Washington, D.C., the 5 designs depicted in this photo gallery will be the last 5 State Quarters. The gallery has been started with the official artist's renderings issued by the U.S. Mint in late November of 2007, and will be updated to include the actual coins when they come out, along with commentary and trivia about the designs.

Please click the first image to begin reading my commentary and see enlargements of the individual designs.
