Die Variety News - An Outstanding Free Magazine About Coin Die Varieties

Die Variety News is a free bimonthly magazine published by nationally known coin die variety expert Billy Crawford. Die Variety News, (DVN for short,) focuses primarily on recently discovered varieties in U.S. coins, with a special emphasis on Lincoln Cents, which is Crawford's collecting specialty. The magazine also frequently features Nickel varieties, and the classic die variety found on older U.S. coin types. The best thing about Die Variety News is the generous inclusion of large microphotographs of the coins, showing exactly what you need to look for to find and attribute the variety types Billy Crawford covers.

Die Variety News includes a few regular features, including "Variety Spotlight," which is a special focus on a classic or famous variety type. My favorite DVN feature, "This and That Varieties," contains photos and descriptions of a number of reader-submitted die varieties from all kinds of (mostly U.S.) coin types.
