This photo of the second Philadelphia Mint, which was closed in 1901, shows the same type of facade as the Shanghai Mint in the previous photos. This is the building from which the Chinese copied the front of their own Mint's building, in an effort to honor the Americans who sold them a large amount of coin minting equipment in 1923.
