This incredible Proof coin error was found by collector Mendy Copley of Cheap Treasures, LLC, an online auction business that she runs based in Florida. However, when Mendy realized the magnitude and rarity of this amazing error coin, she wasn't about to let this treasure get away from her cheaply! She listed it on eBay with a $14,990 Buy It Now price! Although she didn't get any takers (yet,) the coin has been sent off to NGC for grading. She eventually sold it for the hefty price tag of $1,250 to a California collector.
