I took this photo holding the camera at the vertical orientation so that I could show you just how huge this U.S. Mint display booth was! Director Ed Moy is standing near the middle, with his head in the circle of the flag on the background. Moy is an affable, likable man with an easy, sincere smile, and I think the coin collectors in the crowd took to him readily (unlike certain other Directors the U.S. Mint has enjoyed in years past.) In this photo here, he is about to unveil, for the first time in history, the set of twelve solid 22 karat gold Sacagawea Dollars that once flew aboard the space shuttle Columbia.
