Liberty Head nickels (or "V Nickels" as they are sometimes called) are classic U.S. coins that were minted from 1883 until 1912. In 1913 the Indian Head (or Buffalo) nickel began its twenty-six year run. However, there is much controversy and mystery over five Liberty Head nickels that are dated 1913. The U.S. acknowledges that these are genuine nickels and yet there is no record of them being produced. If you are looking to sell, I have analyzed the coin market and have published my finding so you can see how much your Liberty Head nickels are worth. If you are looking to purchase them, you can find out what a fair market price is for a Liberty Head nickel in my second article.
