U.S. Mint "Last Chance" Sale!

Saturday November 15, 2008

The U.S. Mint is having a "last chance" sale! When they were cleaning out the Order Fulfillment Center in preparation for a move to a new facility, they found loads of forgotten old coins and sets and trinkets and, well... junk, some of it nearly 10 years old! Statehood Quarter spoons anybody? If you missed getting that 2001 First Day State Quarter Cover for Rhode Island, here's your chance, and at a reduced price, too! This stuff is selling fast, so do not delay, grab your coin-related Christmas gifts early! Click the link to go straight to the U.S. Mint Last Chance Sale page.

Edited to add: Don't miss the newly-added Direct Ship inventory, either!

After looking at the site I can’t see that they are priced as “clearance sale” items.

Most of the stuff still looks like it is priced at “List Price”, not much of a “Clarence Sale.” The State Quarter Coin and Die Sets are at $34.95. I picked one up on eBay for $17 (plus $6 shipping).

Thanks for the comments. =) The Mint characterized the sale as a clearance and close-out, and the spot-checking I did showed some items normally priced at $19.95 being sold for $14.95 (the State Quarter First Day Covers) and those stupid spoons which I thought were $12.95 in the past (I actually bought one once for a relative who collects spoons.) But I guess I could be wrong, and if so, I apologize for any confusion.

Stuff is really selling out fast though!

I hope that the mint has to choke on all of these so called “Clearance” items. They charge way more than what ANY item is worth. Hmmmm I wonder why nobody has bought any of these particular items up? De De Dee you charge too friggin’ much! Get agrip come back down to earth with the rest of us earthlings!!!

Hello, I purcjase these ” Obama Coins” from https://www.obamacoincollection.com/Default.aspx?mid=528810 are they fake? Is the US mint the only place to get authentic coins?
Thank you
