Mint Error News #25 is Published

Mike Byers has published another excellent edition of his free Mint Error News Magazine. The current issue is cram-packed with more than 250 pages full of information and photos relating to error coins. As always, Al Levy's error coin price charts are fascinating. Levy tracks numerous types of error and variety coins, and creates price charts showing the eBay auction closing prices, grades, numbers of specimens sold, and miscellaneous notes. His categories include Presidential Dollar errors, State Quarter errors, and tons of minting mistakes such as off-center coins, struck-through-grease errors, coins that were struck multiple times, and tons of other fascinating minting mishaps.
Other topics covered in the current Mint Error News issue include an 1836 U.S. Half Dollar with doubled edge lettering, a 1903 Louisiana Purchase die trial struck on cardboard (and certified by NGC as genuine), plus see scores of photos of error coins from the U.S. and around the world. Any way you look at it, Mint Error News Magazine is absolutely one of the best deals going in coin collecting, and not just because it's free. When you get your PDF copy of Mint Error News, be sure to save it to disk right away. Not only does this ensure you'll always have a copy to read and reference in the future, it loads and the pages advance much faster when it's on your own hard drive (plus it's just good netiquette to save Mike Byers the extra bandwidth that repeated page accesses would cost him, not that he's ever said a word about it.)
